BioMedIA successful at two computational challenges at MICCAI 2015

Members of the BioMedIA group have been very successful at this year’s MICCAI computational challenges. PhD student Konstantinos Kamnitsas has won the ISLES 2015 challenge with his approach based on Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Nets. Imperial Festival Demo

We have demonstrated our work on Medical Augmented Reality at the 2015 Imperial Festival. It was great fun with lots of interaction with younger and older visitors.

UCL Medical Image Computing Summer School

We will be presenting at the UCL Medical Image Computing Summer School (MedICSS) which is organised by Dan Stoyanov and Tom Vercauteren. The summer school will be held from August 10-14 in London at UCL and includes lectures and hands-on sessions. More information and a registration form can be found on the MedICSS website.

Symposium on Clinical Applications of Machine learning in Neuroimaging

Together with James Cole, Peter Hellyer and Paul Aljabar we are co-organising the Symposium on Clinical Application of Machine Learning in Neuroimaging which is held in conjunction with the 2015 International Conference on Brain Informatics & Health, 30 August – 2 September, London, UK. ICML Workshop on Machine Learning meets Medical Imaging

Kanwal Bhatia and Hervé Lombaert are organising the 1st ICML Workshop on Machine Learning meets Medical Imaging which will be held on 11th July 2015 in Lille, in conjunction with the International Conference on Machine Learning. CSI 2015 – MICCAI Workshop & Challenge

We will be co-organising the 3rd Workshop & Challenge on Computational Methods and Clinical Applications in Spine Imaging (CSI) which will be held in conjunction with MICCAI in Munich, Germany, October 2015. More information is available on the CSI 2015 Webpage.

ISBI 2015 Special Session on Graphical Models

Together with Ramin Zabih, Nikos Paragios, Vikas Singh, and Ashish Raj, we are co-organising a Special Session on Graphical Models for Biomedical Image Analysis at ISBI 2015. The session will be on Sunday, April 19 from 11:15am-12:45pm.

Successful Workshop MICCAI CSI 2014

We had a great workshop this year which was held at the Harvard Medical School in conjunction with the MICCAI 2014 conference. A great day with great presentations and two excellent invited talks by Prof David Haynor and Prof Nassir Navab.
