The recorded lectures of the 2015 Biomedical Image Analysis Summer School are now available on YouTube, including my own presentation on Random Forests in Medical Image Analysis.
Ben Glocker is the guest editor together with Nikos Paragios (Ecole Centrale Paris) and Ramin Zabih (Cornell NYC Tech / Weill Cornell Radiology) of a special issue on Discrete Graphical Models in Biomedical Image Analysis, which will be published in Vol. 27 of Medical Image Analysis in January 2016. The special issue has nine excellent… Read more »
Members of the BioMedIA group have been very successful at this year’s MICCAI computational challenges. PhD student Konstantinos Kamnitsas has won the ISLES 2015 challenge with his approach based on Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Nets. Master student Isabel Lopez was ranked 2nd in the Automatic Intervertebral Disc Segmentation from MRI with her approach using classification forests… Read more »
The BioMedIA group is affiliated with the new Imperial Neurotrauma Centre. The centre’s vision is to use neuroscience and engineering advances to improve patient outcomes after neurotrauma. More details can be found on the centre’s website.
We have demonstrated our work on Medical Augmented Reality at the 2015 Imperial Festival. It was great fun with lots of interaction with younger and older visitors.
We will be presenting at the UCL Medical Image Computing Summer School (MedICSS) which is organised by Dan Stoyanov and Tom Vercauteren. The summer school will be held from August 10-14 in London at UCL and includes lectures and hands-on sessions. More information and a registration form can be found on the MedICSS website.
Together with James Cole, Peter Hellyer and Paul Aljabar we are co-organising the Symposium on Clinical Application of Machine Learning in Neuroimaging which is held in conjunction with the 2015 International Conference on Brain Informatics & Health, 30 August – 2 September, London, UK. More details about the symposium can be found on its website.
Kanwal Bhatia and Hervé Lombaert are organising the 1st ICML Workshop on Machine Learning meets Medical Imaging which will be held on 11th July 2015 in Lille, in conjunction with the International Conference on Machine Learning. I am feeling honoured to be one of their invited speakers. More details can be found on the workshop… Read more »
