PhD student Alexander Thebelt collaborates with Dr Robert M Lee (BASF), Dr David Walz (BASF), and Professor Nathan Sudermann-Merx (formerly BASF, now Cooperative State University Mannheim). During his PhD, Alex:
- Developed & maintained open-source software ENTMOOT and OMLT,
- Written papers appearing in Computers & Chemical Engineering, Applied Energy, NeurIPS, and Chemical Engineering Science,
- Delivered the Computer & Systems Technology Division (10e) Plenary as a part of the 2020 AIChE Annual Meeting (video link)
- Won 1st Poster Prize at the 2019 Sargent Centre for Process Systems Engineering Annual Meeting
