Dr Zhengchao Wang passed his viva! His thesis, “Decision Making under Uncertainty: Randomization,
Online Learning, and Applications”, studies robust optimisation, optimal randomisation, and multi-armed bandit problems with applications to assortment optimisation and non-profit campaigning. Very well done, Dr Zhengchao!
Zhengchao will stay with our group for (unfortunately only) a short while as a post-doctoral researcher while he is waiting to receive his Australian visa. He will then start as a tenure track assistant professor at the University of Sydney Business School.
