The Robot Vision Group is based in the William Penney Laborary, which is on the main South Kensington Campus of Imperial College. This is an outpost of the main Computing Department which is located halfway along the main raised walkway which runs east-west across the campus. The entrance to the William Penney Lab is directly opposite the Junior Common Room, just east of the Senior Common Room and Imperial College Shop. Buzz at the door for entry and come upstairs. The Robot Vision Group is right at the top of the stairs and Andrew Davison’s office is room 303; telephone +44 20 75948316.

The closest London Underground stations are Gloucester Road or South Kensington which are both on the District and Piccadilly Lines and about 10 minutes’ walk from the department. You can get a direct train from Heathrow Airport on the Piccadilly Line. It is also a nice walk across Kensington Gardens to the department from Queensway Station on the Central Line (20 minutes) or Paddington (mainline rail, 30 minutes).

Joining the Group

Please contact Prof Andrew Davison if you are interested in coming to Imperial for PhD studies or post-doctoral research in the areas worked on by the Robot Vision Group, as we are always looking for excellent new team members. Unfortunately we are not usually able to accept short-term visitors or interns and may not be able to respond to all such queries.
