• In order to get to the admin screen you need to go to:

http://wp.doc.ic.ac.uk/Your_URL_Here/wp-admin

• When you’re looking at your site, but are logged in, you should always see a grey top bar. If you want to get back into the admin, click My Sites > Your Sitename Here > Dashboard.

• Don’t choose any theme but the DoC theme unless you’re sure you don’t want to use the dynamic framework we’ve set up to link people, projects, publications, and grants. If you think it’s ugly, don’t worry: more “looks” are coming. If you don’t like them when they’re ready, let Sunny Bains know and we’ll try to do something about it.

• After you’ve saved a page you can view it by clicking either on the link in the top bar or the one in the yellow bar just below it.

• If you want to do a page that doesn’t fit in the main structure of grants, people, projects, publications, that’s absolutely fine. Just create it as a Page and we can amend the menus as appropriate later.
