I have joined the Dyson Robotics Lab in July 2014 as a PhD-Student under supervision of Prof. Andrew Davison and Dr. Stefan Leutenegger. My research is centered around image processing for robotics in the areas of Simultaneous Tracking and Mapping (SLAM) and Scene Understanding. I am particular interested in ‘silicon retinas’ or event cameras, which present a paradigm shift away from traditional frame-based cameras. These bio-inspired vision sensors offers significant potential advantages: namely avoiding high data rates, dynamic range limitations and motion blur.
